Latest Status :  The 524,4 Ha land of Tanjung Kelayang Special Tourism Zone (KEK) has been cleared and PT Belitung Pantai Intan, Nusa Kukila, Tanjung Kaswarina have obtained the Right-to-Build Permit (HGB). Facilities in the vicinity of Tanjung Kelayang KEK have not been improved significantly compared to the third quarter. PT. Belitung Pantai Intan as a business entity which develops and manages Tanjung Kelayang KEK is still finalizing access road to stage 1 tourism zone, formulating Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for clean water treatment, waste water treatment and electricity. The development of those infrastructure facilities is estimated to be completed in 2018. Now, PT. Belitung Pantai Intan and other consortiums are processing principle permit in KEK. To meet electricity need, State-Owned Electricity Company (PLN) will operate Suge Coal-Fired Power Plant (PLTU Suge) Unit 2 (16,5 MW) and Mobile Power plant (25 MW), which are targeted to operate fully in October 2016. For connectivity support in the area, Ministry of Transportation is committed to operating HAS Hanandjoeddin as an international Airport with direct flight by the end this year.

Description of Project

Tanjung Kelayang Special Tourism Zone (KEK) has a land area of 324,4 Ha with the main activity in tourism sector. Tanjung Kelayang KEK is located in the Sub District of Sijuk, District of Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has launched this KEK is one of the ten national priority tourism destinations.
