Project Description
This LRT will have 13 stations, starting from Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport to Jakabaring Sport City. This LRT will also support the Asian Games 2018 that will be held in Jakarta and Palembang.
Project Significance
Palembang population is expected to increase from 1.8 million to 2 million people by 2018. Therefore, the local government initiated the LRT development in order to provide public transportation to prevent the predicted growth of traffic congestion in Palembang.
