15 Sections of The Sumatera Toll Road

This section is part of the Trans Sumatera Toll Road Network that is planned to connect the northern part of Sumatera to the southern part and will link the province of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam with Lampung. The Medan – Binjai section is located in the province of North Sumatera and connects the city of Medan with Binjai.

This section has a vital role in supporting the flow of goods and people between Medan and Binjai. This section will serve as an alternative to the currently existing road and is expected to divide the load on the existing road. Additionally, the section shall increase connectivity and ease of access. As a result, the toll road will contribute towards regional and economic development.

The Palembang – Indralaya section is located in the province of South Sumatera and connects the city of Palembang with Indralaya and has a total length of 22 km.

This section is also expected to increase accessibility to and from regions located in close proximity to the toll road and to stimulate economic growth, particularly in palm oil and rubber sectors.

This section is part of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Network that is expected to connect Aceh and Lampung Provinces. The Pematang Panggang – Kayu Agung section is located in the province of South Sumatra and will have a length of 85 km.

This section will be an important link that will connect the city of Palembang and Tanjung Api-api Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Tanjung Api-api port within the SEZ, which are currently under development. This SEZ will become a center for the palm oil industry and export manufacturing.

This section is part of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Network that is expected to connect Aceh and Lampung Provinces. The Kisaran – Tebing Tinggi section is located in the province of North Sumatera and will have a length of 60 km.

In general, this toll road will increase connectivity between regions in North Sumatra and provide a cheaper and faster option for transportation compared to the existing roads. This toll road is expected to stimulate tourism in Tebing Tinggi Area, support the alumunium industry located in Asahan Regency, and improve connectivity to the Kuala Tanjung International Hub Port.
