In 2016, the following are the plans that were going to be realized: road in the economic zone, guest house, gate, deep well and land side seaport. Institutional Structure of KEK is as follows: KEK Regional Council of East Kalimantan Province, Secretariat of Regional Council, KEK Administrator and KEK Business Entity Development and Management. They all have been established. Process that is still underway is discussion on agreement of KEK Development and Management with East Kutai Regent.
