Latest Status <\/strong><\/td>\n:<\/td>\n Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone (KEK) was officially inaugurated and ready for operation on 27 January 2015 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Stage I infrastructure in the Special Zone on 104 ha land has been built. Stage II Infrastructure construction which includes road axis, dryport, and storage tank has been completed on March 2016, while construction for railway was completed in the second week of July 2016. To meet energy need, the 60 MW Substation of State Electricity Company (PT PLN) has been in operation since 19 Februari 2016, to meet the enrgy need for the long term, 250 MW Steam Gas Power Plant in KEK Sei Mangkei will be in operation in mid 2018. Right now there is a global investor, PT Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia (PT UOI), which has started its full production since October 2015 on 18 ha land with total investment of Rp. 2 trillion. The company developes the following business: production of fatty acid, soap noodle, glycerine and surfactant with production capacity of 200.000 tons per year. In addition, PT UOI has signed land agreement with State-Owned Plantation Company III (PTPN III) for plant expansion on 9 ha land with the estimated investment value of Rp. 1 trillion. The business that is developed is derived production of fatty acid, like ester. Other investor, PT Industri Nabati Lestari is building Cooking Oil plant sedang membangun pabrik Minyak Goreng with the capacity of 600 thousand tons per year per tahun and with the investment value of Rp. 565 billion, it will start its operation in the end of 2017.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
